Sammy is the most loving, laid back, sweet cat at home but when he goes to the adoption events he gets terribly overwhelmed and becomes angry thus no one will adopt him. It's such a loss for him and some lucky owner. Sammy needs a home where he doesn't have to travel and can simply stay at home all day and love on his owner. He gets along with other cats and a dog so he can have a friend. If you think you are the right person for this cat, please contact us.

Romeo is the biggest love bug ever. You can see from a couple of his photos that he looked really bad and is improving and actually starting to thrive. He looked much worse when we got him and before any photos were taken. Although we were afraid we would lose him , he is a fighter. Once we got him through his illness and out of quarantine we introduced him to the other kittens to see if it would help him feel better because seemed to be depressed and simply not continuing to improve. Within two days he was starting to come out of his shell and now he is thriving and runs with the other kittens to meet me at the door. He loves to be held and kissed and he will shower his love on you and we want someone who will shower their love on him. All animals deserve love but this little guy has gone through so much pain and neglect at the hands of humans so we really want this guy in the best home ever. He came out of a horrible house of over 85 cats with pregnant mothers having babies as fast as we could try to save them. The cats were unaltered, breeding, sick, and many kittens were blind from eye balls that become infected and burst due to neglect. I can't even imagine the pain they suffered. Romeo may seem cliche but he really is the biggest lover of all time.

Sonny is very healthy and should be available in approximately 4 to 6 week’s. He is growing quickly so his photos are changing rapidly.

This boy was found on a chain with an embedded collar and bad infection. He, being trapped on his chain, was attacked by a hound which he only fought and did not kill, then the owner of the hound came into his yard and beat the pit with something that cut and gashed his neck open, again while this dog was trapped on his chain in his own yard. His owner did nothing about it, nor got vet care for the dog. In spite of all this, this dog never meets a stranger and is not head shy. So far he is ok with cats but has not been completely cleared to be safe with cats when they run, He is learning "leave it" and getting desensitized to other dogs while out walking. With an experienced handler he could easily be socialized to be comfortable with dogs. The trainer that temperament tested him suggested he could be trained to be with other dogs and best not to be around young active kids that could raise an object in the air and trigger the dogs fear memories of being beat. Older mature kids will be fine because he loves people. His name is Simon is a young adult. He is friendly, likes to lick you ALLLLL over, very smart, attentive, and learns quickly. Currently he has at least one more month of crate time due to heartworm treatment. Poor dog, He can not run jump or play until then.

Hi! My name is Shorty. I’m female and around 1 ½ years old. My mom, brother, and sister have all been adopted so now I’m by myself. A nice couple in Simpsonville have taken me in, and they give me love and attention, but they are just my temporary home while I wait for my FOREVER home! I’ve been a stray most of my life but would love to find a FOREVER home and be an inside cat --- WARM, SAFE, and LOVED. My foster family plays with me and says I am a good kitty. I really try! I’m shy and still getting used to being held, but love to play games and be petted. The fishing pole game is my favorite! I love the cat tree they gave me too. Give me time and a chance to show you what a good kitty I am. I know how to use the litter box and I have been spayed and had my shots. Foster Paws will give me a microchip and register it for you so I can always find my back to you if I ever get lost. Won't you give me a chance? Thank you for considering Foster Paws Rescue for adoptions. We have a positive track record of rescuing and re-homing cats and kittens in Upstate South Carolina. OVER 800 cats/kittens saved in the last 2 years! Our goal is to help you select a feline friend with the personality to fit your lifestyle. We make every effort to ensure that you are adopting a healthy pet! ALL our adoptable cats have been fully vetted, including: deworming, vaccines and spayed or neutered. We also microchip our adoptables and register that chip to you after the adoption! We have a network of about 30 foster families who are the lifeline of our organization. They open their hearts and homes to care for cats and kittens who are running out of time in a shelter. Adopting a cat that has been fostered comes with the added bonus of knowing more about the cat's personality from the foster, AND getting a well socialized cat who is ready to be a family member! You can meet some of our cats and kittens who are housed in PetSmart’s adoption center at the Taylors PetSmart location: 6019 Wade Hampton Blvd, Taylors, SC. Many cats are in foster homes, but we will work to schedule a convenient meeting! ADOPTIONS most Saturdays from 11:00 to 2:00 at PetSmart - 621 Fairview Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680, most Sundays from noon to 4:00, at PetSmart - 6019 Wade Hampton Blvd., Taylors, SC 29687 Please check our Facebook page for hours and updates https://www.facebook.com/FosterPawsRescue We will do everything we can to meet your schedule. Miss Kitty was abandoned in a box on the front porch of the foster's home while she was out of town. Luckily the foster came home that evening and found the box with this beautiful loving kitten inside. She had a fresh spay incision which was badly infected. She is very sweet and loves to play. Ellie is a very friendly, confident cat. She felt comfortable in her foster home from the first day she moved in. She is about 4 years old. She has the Turkish Van pattern of color and her hair is smooth as silk. She loves to be near her people or up on a high perch watching them. She is always curious yet laid back at the same time. She has integrated well with my other foster cats but she would also be very happy as an only cat if she could get lots of attention. She has been in homes with small dogs. She is FIV+( Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which means her immune system is lower than some other cats. Her new guardian will need to be more conscientious about dental cleaning (checkups recommended every year) and will need to be willing to take her to the vet if she starts to get sick. Recent research has proven that most cats with FIV live a long harmonious life alongside other pets. FIV can be transmitted only to another cat by deep bite wound and never to dogs and people. Foster Paws Rescue is dedicated to providing homes for ALL cats that enter our rescue. We are willing and able to offer detailed information on how to introduce a new animal into a home with other animals. We also offer a return promise: If a cat adopted from us does not work out in their adoptive home, the cat can always be returned to Foster Paws Rescue. Ellie longs for a forever family to call her own! Taking a chance on this loving, sweet cat will be rewarding to her new family as she integrates into your household and her personality shines through!
